Beervana

Husband and I took an impromptu trip to Bend this weekend. 

It was so much fun! 

It was a first for both of us. We've been hearing from, well pretty much everyone, how great Bend is, so we thought we should check it out. 

And you know what? Everyone was right. 

We had so much fun exploring the Deschutes River, the town, the food (duh) and of course the beer! Home to 16 breweries which roughly equates to more breweries per capita than any other city in the entire state of Oregon, including Portland. 

They also have a plethora (yes I used the word plethora in a sentence) of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, paddle boarding and all kinds of snow sports. We didn't get to partake in any of these, but we'll definitely be doing so in the future. 

It was us verse the beer. 

We took the advice of friends and went to 10 Barrel Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, and Deschutes Brewery. 

All were awesome. 

And, I think the beer won. 

But we'll be back to explore more.
