To the Pumpkin Patch We Go!

 And just like that, another fall bucket list item has been crossed off our list. We headed up to Greenbluff for our annual trip to the patch and the boys had so much fun. I'll admit, I was a bit worried that COVID restrictions were going to take a lot of the fun out of our trip this year, but that was not the case at all.

The biggest change this year, and one I actually thought helped, was that we had to pre-purchase entry tickets for a specific time slot so they could control the crowds and number of people attending. This helped tremendously and we took full advantage of our 2 hour time slot. They had so many fun activities, including a trampoline, choo choo train, corn maze and more. We made our way to Harvest House, Hidden Acres Farm and Big Barn Brewing and managed to spend almost 5 hours up on the bluff. A day well spent for sure!

Fall Favorites || Apple Picking

 Every year there are a handful of activities we enjoy to kick off the best season of the year! We checked one of our bucket list this past weekend when we headed up to Greenbluff for Apple Picking. The smoke had finally cleared and the boys had lots of pent up energy so it was the perfect weekend to get all that out.

After apple picking, we headed home for chili, cornbread and homemade apple crisp! The perfect way to kick off the season. A few photos from our adventures below.

GoodBye Summer

 Another summer has come and gone and another Labor Day weekend at the island is over. Similar to the past several years we spent a few days saying goodbye to summer with family on Hat Island. The boys are getting bigger and so the fun times (and the fights, ha!) are getting bigger too.

We actually spent the last two weekends out at the island. Initially a trip with just the kiddos, my mom and my sister and then we came back so the dads could join in the fun for Labor Day. Photos from another weekend making memories below!

Peaches, Cherries, Greenbluff, Oh my!

While this summer we are primarily sticking close to home, we did get to enjoy a trip up to Greenbluff to pick cherries and peaches again this summer. COVID won't keep us down! A few photos from our day below:

Lincoln James || Our Big SIX Year Old

 Last month, my biggest boy turned six! Six is a big year. Six is a new school, kindergarten, no more naps and more. Six is when he found out he was going to be a big brother again. Six is when he graduated out of speech therapy. Six is cool.

While this year our celebration looked a little different because of COVID. We embraced our new normal with a small family gathering and a special trip to Silverwood for our biggest boy. Below are a few photos from both the family dinner and our trip.

Before we dive in though, I just want to say a few words about Lincoln. Lincoln is my strong silent one. He has the kindest heart, is always looking out for his little brother, and is very much a sensitive soul. I know he'll do big things and I can't watch him learn and grow even more this year. Love you more than you know Lincoln Log.
