A Hat Island 4th of July || 2019

We were lucky enough to get 4 days off for the 4th of July this year and decided to spend that time in our favorite place, Hat Island! Finn has only been twice before and this was the first time he could really dig his toes into the sand. To say we all had a blast would be an understatement!

Kevin and Lincoln we're off on crabbing and wild life adventures from the moment we arrived and managed to catch almost 8 crabs over the course of our time there. They also found a baby sting ray and several starfish, one that was growing a new limb! On our second to last day they also found a jellyfish. It was a successful adventure.

Finn enjoyed digging his toes into the sand (along with throwing whatever he could get his hands on). He also got to enjoy a few joy rides in the kayak with Kevin and Lincoln (Kevin is the best dad!) and an adventure walk with his Uncle Griffin and myself.

We all ate way too much food, had plenty of good food to eat and everyone enjoyed each other's company! More than a few photos to share our time there below.

Lake Days 2019

We are lucky enough to live in a town that is surrounded by several large lakes and even luckier to have friends who have boats and/or lake cabins! The last weekend in June, the boys and I headed out Hayden Lake with a few of our friends to spend the day on the water. They had so much fun! We all headed back to town that night with smiles on our faces and sun-kissed skin.

Kevin had to miss the lake because he was busy winning his hoopfest tournament, but we managed to survive without him thanks to awesome friends and lots of extra hands willing to help out with the kiddos!

Hoopfest 2019

Every year, Spokane is home to the largest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament in the world (or at least in North America). This year was the 30th Anniversary for Hoopfest!

Kevin has played most years and this year was no exception. Hoopfest can be a little hectic with thousands of people heading into town, the streets shutting down and vendors and players everywhere. I wasn't brave enough to head down both days with boys boys, but we did go down on Saturday to watch daddy play! Kevin won both his games on Saturday, and although they lost their first game Sunday, they ended up battling back to win their bracket! It was a great weekend!

Summer Bucket List Item || Spokane Indians Baseball

For Father's Day this year we bought tickets for Papa to the Indians Game, the local minor league team. Lincoln has just recently started T-Ball and baseball is my dad's favorite game so it was perfect timing!

We purchased tickets to Smokey the Bear Night and my little brother was able to join us as well! The six of us enjoyed the game and the boys made it all the way to the 7th inning before Kevin took them home so my dad, brother and I could enjoy the last two innings. The Indians ended up winning as well! The game was one of our Summer Bucket list items among many others so it was the perfect kickoff to summer!

Father's Day 2019 || Big Barn Brewing

A few weeks ago we headed back up to Big Barn Brewing in Greenbluff, WA to celebrate our dad the best way we know how! With plenty of beer and lots of outdoor fun and music. This has become a family tradition for our little family ever since Lincoln was born. We brought up Nana and Papa this year as well to join in on the fun!

The beers were flowing, the music was playing and the picnic was perfect. The strawberries were just ready to be picked as well so Lincoln and I headed into the neighboring strawberry fields next to the brewery and picked several to bring home. It was a great day!

Mommy and Me Date || Lincoln James

A few weeks ago, Lincoln and I got to spend a whole day together enjoying a few fun things around town. It was so fun to get some one-on-one time with my one of my favorite guys. We started our morning off by heading down to AMC and watching Secret Life of Pets 2. After the movie we headed over to Riverfront Park to play and ride the carousel (a million and one times). Then it was back to the mall for lunch before heading home for naps.

It was a busy fun day for our little due who is quickly becoming a big kid!
