Valentines Day Treats

It may be only January, but when you have a five year old who's as obsessed with holidays as much as you are, you whip out the Valentines Day crafts and treats early!

This weekend we made chocolate covered pretzels as well as vanilla cupcakes. Lincoln did such a great job! He's finally at the age where he can take a project/task and really complete it. Finn was a true 2 year old and managed to eat all of the chocolate and frosting and get it all over himself. But he's cute so it works!

A few photos from our treat making sessions...

Finny Says || January 2020

A long long time ago, back when I used to try and blog somewhat regularly, I posted a few "Lincoln Says" posts. Finn is at the perfect age where he's starting to chat more and more and everything he says just comes out so stinking cute!

I don't want to forget some of my favorites these days:

"Hot Dog Mouse!" (Referring to Mickey Mouse Club)

"Happy Snowman" (The Olaf and Frozen obsession is real)

"I did it!"

"Bye! See You! Muah!"

"Hiiyooo!!" (Hello)

"Budda" (Peanut Butter)

Daddy Whereahhhhhyou?!

Mommy Whereahhhhyou?!

Incan (Lincoln) Whereahhhhyou?!

" Daddy's HOme!!"(Everytime Kevin walks into a room)

"Come! Come!" (As he grabs my hand and takes me wherever he wants to go)

A Visit to Blue Zoo Aquarium

Over the break, I took the boys to visit the semi-new Blue Zoo Aquarium in North Town Mall. It was fairly busy, but the boys had a blast! They loved petting the sting rays and star fish, seeing the sharks, playing on the pirate ship and heading into the bird and reptile cages.

Photos from our fun day are below!

Merry Christmas!

I had this post all set to go on Christmas Day...my virtual Christmas card! And then time flew by and here we are on January 2nd. That being said...I still want to document our Christmas Eve, our Christmas Day and yes, even our 2019 Christmas Card! So....

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!

Cheers to the very best time of year!

And here are a few photos from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Christmas Lights!

Each year we take the boys to see the Christmas lights in Cowley Park outside Sacred Heart Hospital. It feels pretty magical walking through a sea of lights. Below are a few pics from this year's tour!

Journey to the North Pole!

We kicked off Christmas Break with a surprise visit to the North Pole for the boys. Each year CDA Cruises sets up a light show and boat cruise that takes people out to the "North Pole" where Santa reads off the nice list. The local resort offers a package that includes tickets, a one night stay, and a special delivery of cookies and milk to your room from Santa's elves. We went for the whole shebang this year and the boys were so excited!

I picked Lincoln and Finn up on Friday afternoon and we grabbed Kevin along the way. We pulled into the resort right at 4PM and easily checked into our room. Then it was off to fire-side story telling in the lobby at 4:30 before catching our boat to the North Pole at 5:30. Timing was perfect!

We made a dinner reservation right after at Tito's Macaroni Grill which was the perfect place to take the little ones. They let them make their own pizza in the wood-fire oven with the chef! In addition, because it's right inside the mall where the cruise meets, the characters often times walk through the restaurant to greet the kiddos. In addition, carolers came and serenaded us at our table!

Dinner wrapped up and we headed back to our room to change into pajamas and wait for our special delivery, which arrived promptly at 8:15. Again, timing could not have been more perfect and the boys enjoyed their evening. It was such a fun way to kick off the holiday break!
