Sara's Bridal Shower

My little sister is getting married! I threw her a bridal shower a few weeks ago. It was so much fun planning all the little details.

Luckily, we're friends with a pretty talented photographer, Jennifer DeBarros, who brought her camera along and took photos for us. She's the talented photographer behind my baby shower,  L's newborn photos, 6 month shoot and his 1st birthday party as well!

Both chalk board signs were made by my talented friend, Amy!

A fun little Mimosa bar was key to getting the celebration kicked off right!

I had so much fun making Sara's flower crown using this tutorial

Sisters!

I'm also getting pretty good at creating my own centerpieces. I found a few key secrets through this blog post!

Bubble PSA

If you have a toddler, I highly recommend purchasing a bubble machine!  L just received one as an early birthday gift from one of my besties (hi Amy!) and they are seriously the best!

Warning: If you don't enjoy photos of pure joy the pictures below are not for you. ;0)

Outdoor Movies in the Park!

Last night we took L to see Aladdin in the park! Other than the fact that the movie didn't end up starting till about 9:15 (doors opened at 7:00!), it was so much fun! We didn't make it through the movie with the late start time, but we still got to enjoy some ice cream, playtime and the beginning of one of my favorite Disney movies!

Below are a few pictures from our evening:

Saturday Adventures

This past weekend was a busy one! We had a pretty good mix of work and play and we introduced L to his first big screen movie theater experience (of which we made it through an hour before having to call it quits! #reallifewithatoddler

Prior to the movie, we headed downtown to Riverfront Park where we got to enjoy the carousel, the garbage eating goat and a gondola ride!

After the movie we headed home where we got in a long nap before heading back out to the Perry Street Fair! We were caught in a downpour, but ducked out to grab dinner and ride out the rain. It worked! By the time we were finished with dinner, the sun had come back out and we got to listen to some music and enjoy some more park time before heading home for the evening.

An all around pretty awesome Saturday.

Happy 4th of July!

Similar to last year, we headed to my parent's beach house to enjoy the 4th of July holiday. This year was even better than last because daddy got to be there! We were also joined by one of my besties which made it even more fun!

this little guy could have played on the beach all day long

We had a blast eating tons of good food, drinking more than our fair share of cocktails and participating in the island parade! Little man even got to ride in a fire truck. Dream come true. While we had to drive back on the 4th because of work/school related commitments, there were fireworks Sunday evening as well, so we got to show little man what it's all about.

boat rides are the best rides!

Below are a few pictures from the past weekend!
