Halloween 2017

Halloween has come and gone and we are rolling full steam ahead toward Thanksgiving and Christmas! Before the holidays consume us, I want to be sure to do a quick little recap of our Halloween.

This year, Lincoln got to be both Superman and Winnie the Pooh! We spent last Friday at the annual school Halloween carnival and he had a blast! He ran around with all of his friends, played games, won and ate way too much candy and just generally had all the fun that a three year old should have during this time of the year.

Over the Halloween weekend, we continued the pumpkin themed fun with a trip to mobius where he made a spider and a bat, and got to paint a pumpkin! We ended the weekend strong by raking up (and jumping) into leaves. Just in time for the forecast to tell us it's supposed to SNOW by Friday.

By the main event, Halloween night, Lincoln had the whole trick-or-treating routine down, and happily swung by my work where he scored big time on the candy front before we headed up to some friends for group trick-or-treating and pizza! The kids knew exactly what to do, and ran from house to house yelling "trick-or-treat," "Happy Halloween!" and occasionally we even heard a few "thank you's!"

My proud mama moment came when one of his little friends fell (from running to fast to the next house) and spilled his candy. Lincoln immediately ran up to him and asked "You ok? I'll help!" and helped him pick up all his candy and put it back into his bag. The favor was kindly returned when later that evening, Lincoln took a similar spill. These boys are so sweet right now (when they're not being little three year old monsters ;0)!

After a giant loop and way too much candy, we returned back to our starting place for pizza, toys, playtime and Halloween themed movies. We made it home around 9 PM where we all promptly passed out. It was a good night!

And now...bring on all the turkey and stuffing! Thanksgiving...you're next.
