While there, they got to pet some animals, picked tons of cherries, apricots and grabbed a few peaches. We are still eating the fruits (ha, pun!) of their labor. A few fun pictures are below. I think it's safe to say Finn definitely enjoyed his first cherry picking experience.

Greenbluff || Cherry Picking 2019
While Kevin's mom was visiting, they took the boys up to pick cherries at Greenbluff. We try and get up to Greenbluff a few times during the summer to take advantage of all of the delicious farm fresh fruit!

To the Pumpkin Patch We Go!
Last weekend was our annual trip up to Greenbluff to pick our pumpkins! It was Finn's first pumpkin patch adventure and I think he's a fan. In year's past, we've had the entire family join us, but my mom has been battling pneumonia so she and my dad stayed back this year.
We headed up with my little sister, Sara, her husband and they're little one, Hudson. The boys had so much fun! We made sure to grab pumpkin and huckleberry donuts, rode the train and tractor, hit up not one, but two giant slides and took more pictures than necessary.
After we had our pumpkins and donuts, we headed over to Big Barn Brewing for lunch, beers and music before heading back into town.
That evening, my parents came over for dinner and we watched Hocus Pocus (a must!) and ate way too much food. We carved Lincoln's pumpkin, but saved most of the carving for Sunday because we had such a busy day enjoying Greenbluff. The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better day to go on!

Apple Picking
The best time of the year is in full swing and you better believe we've already decorated the house in anticipation of Fall. I know it's not technically the first day of Fall until this Saturday, but in my mind, Fall begins right after Labor Day weekend.
This past weekend, we took full advantage of the cooler weather and headed up to Greenbluff (our favorite!) to pick apples and get our first batch of pumpkin donuts from Harvest House. Lincoln had so much fun carting around the boxes, picking apples and eating more than his share of pumpkin donuts. Finn was just happy to be along for the ride.
I was of course excited to join the fun and photograph each step of the way! Below are a few pictures from our day.

Cherry Picking!
This past weekend we headed up to Greenbluff to pick cherries for the first time! Kevin has gone in the past with his mom, but it was mine and Lincoln's first time up and it did not disappoint!
We started at Beck's Harvest House because they're doing a special where they brought back their famous pumpkin donuts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. I've mentioned it a time or two before, but we LIVE for those pumpkin donuts come Fall, so the chance to snag them early was AMAZING.
The "country limo" picked up up to take us out into the fields and we snagged a ton of bing cherries. The Rainier were already pretty picked over, so no luck there, but we didn't mind. After picking close to 5 lbs, we weighed in, and purchased our cherries before heading over to Walter's Fruit Ranch.
At Walter's Fruit Ranch, we fed the sheep! And then headed out to their cherry orchard to see what we could find. Similar to Beck's, most of the Rainier were picked over, but we did manage to find a few. In addition, there were a ton of Lapin Cherries, which are a mix between Rainier and Bing. So we filled our bag full of those and headed back to grab lunch before heading home for afternoon naps.
It was a fun filled day, and I'm already itching for apple and pumpkin season. Fall can't come soon enough!

Father's Day 2017
Happy Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend celebrating the dads in their lives. We sure had fun celebrating ours!
Lincoln and I woke up early on Sunday to prep breakfast in bed for Kevin. Kevin's not very good at sleeping in and Lincoln's not very good at surprises (hah!) so we did our best to bring dad coffee, presents and breakfast all before 9 AM. After breakfast and presents, we spent some time cleaning the house and doing yard work before all laying down for a nap!
We all napped because we had big plans for that afternoon!
Once we were all awake we headed out to Big Barn Brewing! We spent last Father's Day up at Big Barn as well and I think we've started a new Father's Day tradition. Big Barn is a small, local craft brewery up in Greenbluff. Every Sunday in the summer they open up their tasting room, host live music and bring in food trucks. It was a blast!
We spent almost 4 hours up at Big Barn before calling it a night and heading back home. We wrapped up the evening and put little man to bed before calling it a night ourselves.

Merry and Bright!
While everyone is out battling the craziness that is Black Friday, our family heads up north to GreenBluff to cut down our Christmas Tree! It's the most fun tradition that Kevin and I started before we got married and now that we have L it's even better!
This year was especially fun because L brought along his own little saw to "help" daddy. He was so cute marching through the trees determined to find the best one!
Below are photos from this year's trip and links to past trips are here and here.
We've tried out a few places in the past, but we returned to Hansen's Tree Farm this year because it really is the best! They keep a fire burning to keep you warm when you come back from cutting down your tree. And there is the sweetest little shop where the little ones get to pick an ornament off the tree for free! Along with hot cocoa and candy canes. I think it's officially our favorite tree farm and I don't see us straying from here in the future.
