Easter || Quarantine Style
When Easter hit we were still stuck in quarantine so it most definitely looked a little different this year. We couldn't go to mass or brunch or celebrate with extended family. Instead we chose to make the most of it while at home. We had Easter egg hunts, opened baskets from the Easter Bunny and even dressed up in our Easter finest, even if we had nowhere to go! a few photos from the week before where we died eggs and from Easter Sunday.

Quarantine Life
I mentioned in my last post, that COVID-19, a global pandemic hit the US and Washington State back in February. By mid-March Washington, and many other states, had issued Stay-at-Home orders in an attempt to slow down the spread of the virus while a vaccine is researched. They are comparing this pandemic to the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed almost 50 million people worldwide.
It's now May 4th and the Stay-at-Home order in Washington has been extended through May 31st with a 4 stage plan to slowly re-open the economy. Each phase is expected to last a minimum of 3 weeks which means we won't fully be back to "normal" until likely mid-July. We've done our best to keep boredom at bay and here's post 1 of a major photo dump!

Our days have consisted of lots of outdoor time, crafts, indoor forts, kids yoga, baking, pre-school zoom calls and zoom happy hours. With kids at home, working from home and all of us confined to 2,000 SF, there's also been lots of tears, tantrums, cuddles and quality time.

St. Paddy's Day || Quarantine Style
2020 has been one for the books. And I don't necessarily mean in a good way. Way back in February COVID-19 hit Washington State and by the middle of March a "Stay-at-Home" order has been put in place. All nono-essential businesses shut down and everyone was ordered to "social distance" from one another outside of immediate family members/households.
This all began the weekend of St. Paddy's Day, so our beloved St. Paddy's Day parade was cancelled among all other large scale events. And so began a several months long period of celebrating holidays and the like a new way. Below are a few photos of our low-key St. Paddy's day celebration here at home.

"Oh Twooodles!" Finn's Second Birthday Party
Finn turned two last week and we celebrated with a small party of just family.
He is very much into the Mickey Mouse Club these days and is constantly requesting "Hot Dog, Mouse!" I ordered a few decorations off of Amazon, baked a home-made (boxed) funfetti cake and we invited family over for dinner and cake. Below are a few photos from the day and evening!
