This past weekend we headed to the lake for the long weekend. We spent 48 hours with friends, relaxing, eating food, drinking and spending quality time together. The boys had so much fun fishing and Lincoln even managed to catch his very first fish ever! Each of the boys ended up catching their own fish and to say we had three very excited five year olds on our hand is an understatement.
In addition to fishing, there was s'more making, games played and cozy time by the fire. Per usual, I was extremely photo happy, capturing each moment of our stay. More than a few photos below ;0)

Seattle Weekend Getaway
A few weeks ago I headed over to Seattle to visit my little brother and attend a friend's baby shower. My little bro put up with all my requests for all of the things! This included playing tourist in his town and letting me instagram the whole dang thing. He's the best!
Our weekend included Pikes Place Market, Shake Shack, The Amazon Spheres, the Cookie Dough truck, Starbuck's Reserve Roastery and dinner at Junebaby (#bucketlist).
A few photos from our weekend below:

Silver Mountain 2019
Happy Monday from our winter wonderland! We are still stuck on several feet of snow, so instead of complaining about it (which I tend to do this time of year), we embraced it and headed for the mountains!
I have been wanting to get Lincoln up skiing for over a year now and two weekends ago we made it happen. We headed up to Silver Mountain in Kellog, ID, about 70 miles east of Spokane and stayed with some friends. Lincoln and his little friend Zeke were signed up for an early morning ski lesson on Saturday and then we had plans to take them to the Water Park Sunday morning.
The ski lesson was a HUGE hit and the boys had wanted to keep skiing. I wish we had rented skis for ourselves to keep them out longer because they loved it so much, but we didn't. We had to compensate with donuts and hot cocoa and then headed back down the mountain for them to play in their snow cave!
The next day we took everyone to the water park at the Silver Mountain Resort and this was a HUGE hit as well! The boys did not want to leave the water and we played for a solid 4 hours before having to head back home.
Needless to say, I think we have a little shredder in the making. Can't wait for more snow adventures as both boys grow and get bigger!

Hat Island 2017
This past weekend, we took our first trip of the summer out to Hat Island. It did not disappoint! Kevin stayed back to play in Hoopfest, so Lincoln and I headed out on our own along with my friend, Amy.
I was a little leary of our first long car trip with a newly potty trained Lincoln, but he was a rockstar! We brought our little traveling toilet with us and I'm happy to report had zero accidents the entire time! I think he's really got this potty thing down.
Anyways, we left Saturday morning and made the trek across the state, caught the ferry on time and made our way down to beach all before 5 PM. Lincoln LOVED building sand castles and dipping his toes in the water. We're still not quite brave enough to go all the way in (and let's be honest, that water is COLD), but we are getting there!
We spent Saturday through Tuesday on the island, with my mom, Amy, Lincoln and myself and just enjoyed the sunshine, good food and yummy drinks. I also sufficiently introduced Lincoln to "Cocktail Time" and I'm pretty sure he's now going to associate chocolate milk with cocktails for the rest of his life, hah!
On Tuesday morning, we caught a ride back with one of my mom's friends in her boat and the ride was bumpy! The weather turned a bit on Tuesday and the water was really choppy. Lincoln was not a fan of the big waves and bumps and clung to me for the entire boat ride, but we made it safe and sound. Once we got across, we met up with my brother, Griffin, to check out his new ride, and enjoy lunch before hitting the road back to Spokane!
It was a great first trip!
More Hat Island trips here, here, here, here and here!

Stumptown Birthday Weekend
This weekend Kevin and I headed to Portland for a kid free birthday celebration. Kevin turns the big 3-5 on Tuesday and for his present this year, we headed back to Portland so he could celebrate with friends!
We started out the weekend with dinner at Bridgeport Brewing in the Pearl. Twelve of us in all met up to toast the birthday boy and have dinner. Afterwards we headed over to Pips and Bounce, a super fun bar outfitted with a ton of ping pong tables. We spent the evening playing, enjoying each other's company and possibly enjoying one to many shots of tequila.
The next day, I was hurting pretty badly, so Kevin met up with his friend Matt, while I napped and tried to feel like a human being again. I met up with the boys and some more of our friends later in the day for dinner and drinks. We hung out for a bit before heading back to our hotel for a much earlier evening.
Sunday we woke up, headed to one of our favorite old brunch spots and spent the afternoon walking through Portland before jumping on the max and heading home to our favorite two year old who was spoiled all weekend by his nana and papa.
The Easter Bunny visited a day late (better late than never!) since we booked the weekend away before realizing it was Easter weekend.
